What are the hours of operation?

Our offices are open Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  If you need to speak with someone after hours please contact your Recruitment Specialist to set up an appointment outside of regular business hours.  We understand some candidates require flexibility and we are happy to accommodate your schedule.

Candidate Registration Process

What is the process to register with KJM Staffing Solutions?
Once you have submitted your resume, one of our recruitment specialists will contact you to schedule an appointment to meet with us so that we can discuss your specific career goals. Upon arriving at our office, you will be asked to complete an application, interview directly with a recruiter and in most cases, take a computer and or written evaluation.

What tests do I have to take as a part of the registration process?

You may be tested on your typing speed and accuracy and your knowledge of computer software applications such as Excel, Powerpoint and MS Word. For our legal candidates, we have tests designed to evaluate your knowledge of pleadings and legal terminology.

Will KJM Staffing Solutions provide me with my test scores?
Yes, we will gladly provide a copy of your results for you.

Does KJM Staffing Solutions accept scores from other agencies?
We will accept testing scores from other agencies provided the scores are in written format.

How much time will the registration and interview process take?

You should plan on 1 to 2 hours to complete the registration process.

How long before I am placed?

KJM Staffing Solutions cannot guarantee a specific time period on your placement as we cannot predict when we will have an opportunity for someone with your specific skill set. We will keep your file active and continue to consider you for all opportunities for which your qualifications are a match.

How often do I need to call in my availability?

We recommend that you call in at least once a week to update us on your availability.

Dress Code?
You should always dress in professional attire for an interview. Always report to work neat and sharp. We will advise you of the specific dress code for our contract assignments before your start date. Here are some general guidelines:

 

Women Men
Professional Pant or skirt suit with blouse and jacket, stockings and close-toed shoes. Pants suit, button-down shirt and tie.
Business
Casual
Slacks with a blouse or dresses. Slacks or khakis with a collared shirt.
Never Appropriate Jeans, tights, sweat pants or gym clothes, leggings, shorts, cut-off shirts or bare midriffs, flip-flops or sneakers. Jeans, tights, sweat pants or gym clothes, leggings, shorts, cut-off shirts or bare midriffs, flip-flops or sneakers.

 

LATE OR CAN’T MAKE IT?

If you are unable to make it to an assignment or interview or are running late, please contact your recruitment consultant immediately.

Timesheet Questions

I don’t have a timesheet, what should I do?
Timesheets are completed electronically and a link was provided in your Welcome New Hire packet.  Please contact your Recruitment Specialist if you need the link to timesheets reissued.

When is my timesheet due?
Approved timesheets must be received on Monday no later than 12:00 p.m. for the previous workweek.

My timesheet is not approved by my supervisor and it is Monday afternoon. What should I do?

Call your KJM Staffing Solutions Recruitment Specialist and they will instruct you on how to proceed. Please note that timesheets are approved by your Client Supervisor electronically.

What happens if I don’t get my timesheet in by 12:00 p.m. on Monday?

If we do not receive your approved timesheet by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, your paycheck will not be processed until the following Friday’s pay period.

Payroll Questions

When is payroll processed?

Payroll is processed on a weekly basis upon the timely receipt of your approved and completed timesheet. Each work week begins on Monday and ends on Sunday.

How do I get paid?

Payroll is process by direct deposit into your bank account or preferred prepaid spending card account.  Please review your Welcome New Hire packet to complete direct deposit sign up or contact your Recruitment Specialist if you need the information resent to your email.
